Auckland's Weather forecast for...

26th July 2008

Severe storm, gale force winds up to 130km/h at exposed places...

THAT IS HORRIBLE!

I'm staying put at home with freezing fingers...

In reality:

Saturday Afternoon Temperature: 10°C
Cloudy with periods of rain. 14 to 24 mm of rain. Wind 40 to 60 km/h.

Saturday Evening Temperature: 11°C
Cloudy with rain. 20 to 30 mm of rain. Wind 50 to 70 km/h.

Not that bad laa.... Maybe I can wear shorts!

NOT THAT CRAZY! In jeans also can freeze... Need thermals...

Ice-Skating!

Small hill of shoes waiting to be returned...

AGAIN!

Did it 2 years before and didn't had the chance to do it again...

The only people who went the last time came with me this time which is the Wong brother and sister la... It was great but we had a lacking of people who could actually ice-skate.

AND I BLAME LUCIEN FOR ALWAYS DRAGGING ME DOWN WITH HIM WHEN HE FALLS!!

I lost count of the times he actually went crashing down and pulling me down with him. IDJIT!

My poor back.... T-T

Mavis, Esther and Cecina... (BCom, BEd, BPharm...)

Who says beauty does not come with brains?
(NEED TO CUT MY HAIR + FRINGE)

My lifesaver!!!

Leo, Julie, Victor and Esther...
LMAO! Mavis' reaction!
ISH! Who took this unflattering photo of me??
Fat and stupid. ><
Group photo without me...

Group photo without Newton!

FOR DINNER!! We went... (and was late for choir)

FISH MARKET!
Had to wait for our fush and chups for almost half and hour
BECAUSE
they had a REALL HUGE ASS ORDER.

SORRY NO PHOTOS of FUSH and CHUPS cz we all were starving.

FOR SUPPER!!!

Esther loves her original Pearl Milk Tea with CinCau!

This was the last day of holidays for us... And... I had a really, really sore back, arms and legs when I went back to school for the first day of Term 3...

How I fell down:
  1. Fell down myself. On the butt.
  2. Leo went too fast around a corner and I fell on my back...
  3. Lucien pulled me. He fell on his butt and me on the side. Leo was the only person standing.
  4. Choo-choo train. Lucien couldn't control his legs and wobbly down he went. With me behind him and Leo in front of him.
  5. Lucien wanted to do train again. With me in the middle. Pulled me on my hoodie, I pulled Leo in the front. Down I went splat on the back with Leo falling on me. OUCH!
Can't remember the rest... PAINFUL!!!! Kept slamming my back on the ice...

Rampant rant...

I just don't like friends in the same circle hooking up.

GOOD FRIENDS.

Because no matter how much they promise that they will still be the same, IT IS NOT!

Someone just ditched me for dinner.

AND HAD TO ASK THE BF.

Cz she probably never thought I would go to the trouble of having dinner with her.

Screw people in relationships.

I even bought her Throaties cz she was sayiing she need them.

We are Malaysians...

>NATIONAL EXCUSE FOR HAIR LOSS:
Maggi Mee.

>NATIONAL EXCUSE FOR BEING LATE:
Traffic Jam.

>NATIONAL CONDOM:
None. Most Malaysians still feel embarrassed buying condoms. So
they rushed into a 7-11, hurriedly grab the nearest pack, any pack, pay and
leave before the cashier can even blink an eye.

>NATIONAL APHRODISIAC DRINK:
Stout. Many swear by it. But after a few pints they start swearing
at everything...

>NATIONAL FAKE ILLNESS FOR GETTING MC (MEN):
Food Poisoning.

>NATIONAL FAKE ILLNESS FOR GETTING MC (WOMEN):
Menstrual Pain

>NATIONAL EXCUSES GIVEN BY WOMEN WHEN REFUSING SEX:
Headache, kids not asleep, maid not asleep, mother-in-law around,
early appointment, food not digested yet, aircond not cold enough,
aircond too cold, nail polish not dry yet, forgot to take the pill,
sleepy,stomach cramps, period, haven't remove make-up, haven't shower, no
water supply, going to watch "Santa Barbara", depress, no mood, etc...

>NATIONAL EXCUSES GIVEN BY MEN WHEN REFUSING SEX:
None. Malaysian men never refuse sex.

>NATIONAL CURE FOR HEADACHES:
Panadol. The "cure for all". If it fails we have another secret
weapon; Tiger Balm.

>NATIONAL CURE FOR DIZZINESS:
Minyak Angin Cap Kapak.

>NATIONAL CAUSE OF DIZZINESS (FOR YUPPIES):
Happy Hours.

>NATIONAL INSTANT CURE FOR DIZZINESS (FOR YUPPIES):
The sight of a police road block.

>NATIONAL RUBBISH DUMP:
Anywhere. As long as it is not your house.

>NATIONAL MOST MIS-PRONOUNCED NAME:
Carrefour. Sometimes even pronounced as Carry 4! On second
thoughts, why bother pronouncing stupid French brands like Peugeot, Renault
or Citroen correctly. I think it sounds better, when the local mechanics say
"Pew Jeot".When I was in school, Milo was always 'Mee Lo', now that I'm
sophisticated, I say "My Lo". So don't be embarassed saying "Carry4"
when the Mat Sallehs shamelessly pronounce orang utan as "rangutan".

Are we guilty of those actions?? =) At least we still maintain some traits even far from home...

Try hard? Do your best?

A reliever told me this when it was the last day of school... Things do not really sink in for me until a day or two later so... Yeah... It means I'm really, really slow at things... *sigh*

Should we use the word "Try hard" when motivating children??

What she said was the word "try" and "hard" has problems. When we "try hard" and do not get the best of what we expected, wouldn't we be disappointed and give up because trying hard get us no further?

How about "Do your best"? I'm sure if they did their best and still fail, they kinda not get so let down... BECAUSE, as humans, we seldom do our best. There will be gaps to fill in... That's how she interpreted it. I think she has a point there...

So what should we do? Try hard? Or do our best??

Something to ponder about... What I do... However, constant reflection on things we do is good too... which I find really helpful in teaching...

p.s. Something unrelated... I finished a 30 episode HK drama in 2 days... Damn proud!

p.p.s. Managed to locked my sim card on sunday... *phew* Lucky managed to get it going before going to world or I can really faint!

Hmm... True or false?

What Esther Song Chai Ning Means

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.

You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.

You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.

You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.

Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.

Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.

You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.

At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life.

You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone.

Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don't appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs.

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.

You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.

A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

Which one first?

Just such a curious person. Actually nosy would do.

Who should take the first step first? The boy or the girl? This is kinda like one of those questions like the chicken or the egg?

I was looking forward to the holidays. Now, I'm not so sure. At least I know I was exhausted enough to stay awake and do my essential stuffs. Now, I've got ample time to do whatsoever but... Not at the moment. I just want to keep going.

So schedule for the week?
Mon - Shopping with Mavis at Sylvia Park
Tues - Movies with Anna, Jess, Jerry, Kai, Jeremy, Esther, Alicia
(NOW... I feel like a babysitter for high school kids)
Wed - Night: Steamboat with Mavis, Newton and Payton I THINK!
Thurs - Onehunga. More burning of the pocket with Mavis, Renee and Julie
Fri - Crash?
Sat - KARAOKE!! WITH YOUTH! (Whose house???)

OH NO!!!!!! Where is Jin and Amanda fitting in?

More exhausting activities required...

But seriously. Lemme know, your opinions. Guys or girls out there. JUST TELL ME! GIRLS OR BOYS FIRST?

(Personally, I don't know... Maybe I'll do it when I really find a guy I like)

Doesn't mean that I've found one.

OH. WHERE ARE THOU?

Perfect guys not required. Just someone who actually compliments me would do cause I'm no perfect girl.

One who makes me laugh and smile at trivial things.
One who cares.
One who makes the decisions.
Someone like my daddy. I miss him. >__________<

Highs and lows

The song Broken by Lifehouse is still stuck with me at the moment.

"I'm falling apart, I'm barely breathing
with a broken heart that's still beating
In the pain is there is healing
In your name I find meaning"

Just when everyone I know has been pairing up right and left.

Virtue to learn?

Patience.

(Been talked to too much about using virtues in dishing out praises!)

ISH.

Youth Camp is OVER!!!

I can't believe I didn't attend. HAhahaha... I miss the times we could stay up late and talk talk talk talk talk our hearts out.

A long overdue girls chat... I need it soon!
